Do Not Trust Smashwords and Do Not Trust Draft 2 Digital

I used to be on Smashwords as I published erotica there, and since the merger since at one time I had an account with D2D or Draft 2 Digital I was banned there because they believe I went against their TOS, when I did not, as they accuse me trying to go against their vetting system as when I tried to publish with them a furry erotica when they said it was a bestiality title.

Funny thing is it is on Amazon and I have since keep it there, I was going make the first part of the story be mostly erotica with a much more science fiction feel, as the so called furries are really humans that were turned into the form they are in now, but since what happened there I have not gotten around to expand the world and the storyline.

Anyways since D2D brought Smashwords and I made a great deal of funds from them, they banned all my accounts I have written a book detailing about what happen in more detail, and to be honest I was writing a lot of bestiality titles for Smashwords, in hind sight this was not truly my cup of tea, as my ideas of writing would be mainly Science fiction, and fantasy, with some horror concepts as well. I wanted to write non-erotica titles but since erotica seems to be where I have been stuck in that is what I will write for now.

I would cation anyone and everyone of using Smashwords, and/or D2D as what also happened is they claimed they had reviewers to check the stories when they do not, they have a computer doing it, even Amazon of all places checks what is in the works of authors. At one time Smashwords also did this, well they were supposed to anyways.

They informed Smashwords that I had a lot of TOS violations when I did not, anyways, like I said what I have found out is what happened to me is in no way or form just with me as others have reported the same issues as well.

Changes with the site

Since certain events have happen with D2D and Smashwords, this site will not only host what I wish to talk to you about, as in comments and my stance on topics as well as insights into the books that we are working on, as well as stories found only here, for people to enjoy or preludes to stories that are for sale at certain retailers.

We have also included a storefront which anyone has access to, and no membership is needed, but one will need to make an account with the system in order to order from the store. The store will provide content work that is a combination of taboo subject matter, to normal books as well.

If anyone is interested in publishing their work here, just leave a comment below. However, this store is still new, and there is not much attention to this site yet. Also, the books sold here will not only be erotica, but mainstream books as well, with plans to sell printed books as well as eBooks, but this will take time.

Draft2Digital and Smashwords the True Cost of their Merger

With the merger of D2D or Draft 2 Digital and Smashwords I knew that at some point I could have issues with this, as I had an account with D2D before, till they banned and closed my account due, to what they would say was that I doubled posted a story, and tried to submit a bestiality title when in fact it is a furry story, I thought what flagged it was the name so I tried to change it and I could not, so I republish it under a new name, and well that was when they went ape at me.

Now with the Merger with both companies, my Smashwords accounts have now been shut down because of this, even though what happened was before this merger and had nothing to do with them, and well a reliable source of income is now good.

I am planning to write a nonfiction book about what happened and my warnings about the two platforms or now one platform as others have expressed serious issues with this merger, and this is of great concern for other authors as well.

One of the drawbacks of being a self-publish author is that one of the easier ways of doing it is to go to a company that would take your story and then publish it for you, and at times the reason people do this, is the alternative would be to go to each store one by one and submit work there and this would need to be done over and over again.

However, these companies you go to are private companies, and as such if for some reason they find that they do not like you etc. Like any other private company, they can shut you down without fail.

This platform that I am on is my own, and as such all content I post etc. is whatever I want and wish to allow here, and I write here as a place for readers to come to see what my work is.

However, I wish to allow other writers to understand that any company they self-publish at can and does have a right to ban your books, accounts etc. without any reason at all.
